Special Programs
The Black Belt Club – is by invitation and open to all students regardless of rank or age. Black Belt Club Members are those individuals who have set their goal at Black Belt. Students must know exactly what their goal is if they are to move toward it with desire and conviction. Being part of the Black Belt Club also has other advantages. The student is offered additional training in Protech, Self-Defense, and much more. This additional instruction prepares the student for advanced training taught at the Black Belt Level.
Masters Club – is again by invitation and are for those individuals who have dedicated themselves to continue on after their Black Belt is achieved.
S.T.O.R.M. Team – stands for Special Team of Role Models. Individuals on this team show a great attitude and set the example for other students to follow. They assist in classes, participate in demonstrations, and are always available to assist where needed.
Junior Trainee Instructor Program – This program’s mission is to build future leaders for a better tomorrow. The program was devised in order to allow children to age 13 to prepare themselves for the Trainee Instructor Program. It also aims to keep interest up and gives a broader outlook for the students to draw upon.
Trainee Instructor Program – This program is for older Black Belts to prepare them for instructor certification. Trainee instructors are students who enjoy teaching others or who are interested in a career in the Martial Arts.
S.H.A.R.P. (Sexual Harassment And Rape Prevention) - The SHARP course includes two or three sections including psychology and theory, prevention and countermeasures. This is a great self-defense course for women in and out of the workplace.
Kidz’n’Power - Children of every age, gender and race are vulnerable to child abduction. Partnered with Amber Alert, WTTU Martial Arts is committed to helping the children in the community and their parents minimize that risk through awareness and education. Using breakaway self-defense techniques, learning to recognize possible dangers, and dealing with bullies is part of the curriculum of this program.
In addition to and included in these programs, there is advanced training in Street Self-Defense, Joint Manipulation and P.P.C.T. (Pressure Point Control Tactics). This additional training gives variety and adds greatly to students’ personal training and broadens their knowledge.
